Introduction: Transgender people are vulnerable to a high risk of mental health problems. These people face many problems in accessing health services. There is very little information about the needs of Transgender people for health care and their concerns in this regard. This study aimed to examine the mental health services and needs of Transgender people and their attitudes and experiences. Materials and Methods: To select English-related studies in the databases of Science Direct, Google Scholar, Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus, Psych Info, Psych Lit, and Sociological Abstracts, the English keywords Trans, Transgender, Transphobia, Gender Dysphoria, Mental health, and Mental health service were searched from 2010 to 2022. Also, for Persian articles, the equivalent Persian keywords were searched in internal databases of the University Jihad Scientific Database (SID), Comprehensive Humanities, and Civilica Portal. Finally, out of 231 studies, 12 articles were selected for review. Results: This study highlights the main challenges of Transgender people. The results of this study showed that some of these challenges include access to health services tailored to the needs of Transgender people and the need to develop mental health services for these people. Conclusion: We can conclude that there are no medical services that meet the needs of Transgender people and to improve the quality of life of these people, there is a need to develop mental health services and train specialists.

Background: In the last two decades, the number of people who have referred to mental health services due to concerns about gender identity has increased dramatically. The aim of this study was to present the most important and fundamental results of studies on Transgender psychological and behavioral disorders and compare these results. Methods: This is a narrative review study. Search for articles related to common psychological and behavioral disorders in Transgender people was done by two trained researchers between December 2019 and March 2020 in 5 Latin scientific databases (Google Scholar, PubMed / Medline, Scopus, ISI Web of Science and Embase). Results: Psychological and behavioral disorders were much higher in Transgender people than in the general population. The most common disorders included anxiety and depression, suicidal attempt, drug abuse, self-injury without suicidal tendency, and H I V. Conclusion: Transgender people are constantly harassed and abused by friends, acquaintances, classmates and teachers, and even their families. Having multiple sexual partners increases the risk of HIV infection and other sexual misconduct. Therefore, governments need to implement their support programs through training centers and counseling for Transgender individuals.

Transgender and its related issues in jurisprudence have long been studied and examined. What needs to be reviewed and carefully considered in this regard, and so far it has not been given the necessary value in terms of jurisprudential research, is to examine the ruling on Transgender in people who have sexual dissatisfaction. This complication is considered as a mental and behavioral disorder and its sufferers fall into the category of a certain sex in terms of biological divisions. According to the famous fatwas of the jurists, there is no doubt that it is permissible to change the gender truly and turn a man into a woman and vice versa, as well as to change the gender in non-binary gender people. However, what will be examined in this study through an analytical-descriptive method is a thematic review of Transgender in transsexual people, whether or not they are included in the Transgender permission ruling. In this article, by referring to the process of identifying the subject and extracting related evidences from fatwas and narrations, the impermissibility of Transgender in transsexual people is obtained. However, in the Islamic Republic of Iran, whose laws-according to Article 4 of the Constitution-must be regulated according to Islamic standards, this practice has been practiced for many years with the permission of the judiciary and their supervision over a significant number of these patients.

Background & Aim: Transgender people face many psychological and social problems. Due to cultural and social norms, the number of studies conducted on these people is limited. The purpose of this study is to investigate the lived experience and development of identity Transgender people. Materials & Methods: The present study was a qualitative phenomenological approach. Ten people who identified themselves as Transgender were selected using convenience sampling method. These subjects were studied using semi-structured interview. Sampling was continued until the data were completed. In order to analyze the data, the data were first recorded and coded and then analyzed using Colaizzi method. Results: The results of this study indicated that Transgender people face double psychological and social challenges in their lifetime that these challenges and barriers can confuse their identities. Conclusion: The identity disorder is associated with mental health problems and psychological problems,these problems can be a barrier to adapting to their new identity. Removing barriers from their identity and having a non-dual view on their gender can help them to properly develop their identity.
